Changing the visual landscape of music by bridging the gap between marginalized youth & music education

About the Marigold Music Program

We are a Black-led, incorporated nonprofit born out of the recent injustices brought to light surrounding the lives of Black and Indigenous communities in Toronto and across North America. As young working professionals in the music industry, we see and live first-hand the inequities against communities in Toronto. Now more than ever, our commitment to empowering young musicians is paramount for breaking down societal barriers and creating equitable access to the arts for all.

MMP created 3 fully-funded divisions to meaningfully engage with marginalized communities of youth in Toronto. We provide an enriching environment where every youth gets the support they need to grow. We refuse to comply with a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. At MMP, everyone is looked after, everyone is nurtured, and everyone has the opportunity to flourish!
