I would not be where I am today without community programming.
I was raised by a single immigrant mother who realized the importance of education and made sure that my sister and I felt comfortable in ALL spaces.
I had two things that many youth don’t have: Access to education, and someone who fought for my future.
The Marigold Music Program is a way for me to carry this forward; youth must have access to fully-funded programming, and a person who will fight for them. I also want children like me to see representation in leadership positions. This is something I never saw and is why I’m so passionate about giving youth mentors to help them succeed.
